Today was a quiet day. I'm still pretty bummed about Red, so I didn't feel like doing much of anything. I finished mowing the lawn and got some housework done though. The boys have been helping me cook, so tonight we are having Cheeseburger Pie and pudding.
They had a very rude awakening this afternoon. They have discovered how much fun it is to ride their bikes down the big hill on our road. So, I told them that we would go down and ride it this afternoon. But, that they were not to go out onto the road until I got there - cars go WAY too fast for that. I was walking down the driveway, so I was a few minutes behind them, and what do I see when I get to the end of the driveway? You guessed it - 2 little boys halfway up the hill, one of them riding right up the middle of the road!! I hollered at them to get their little butts back down to me, PRONTO!! They rode down grinning from ear to ear, only to discover that Mommy was furious with them. And, that they will not be allowed to ride on the road for a few more days since they abused their priviledge. They were shocked and of course VERY apologetic. Too bad!! ;-)

This afternoon I spent some quality time with the boys' guinea pig. They had taken him outside to play, which he loves, but they also had decided to make a lake in their sand pile, so he got very wet. Poor li'l piggy! I was sitting in the living room reading a book when they came in, so they brought him to me, wrapped in a towel. He seemed very content to snuggle with me and we were doing quite well bonding....until he peed on me!!!! Needless to say, I RAN for the shower and the boys got their piggy back.
