Well, I thought I was going to get the back hill mowed this morning. I had only been out there on the riding mower for about 15 minutes when I was suddenly engulfed in smoke!! Apparently something went very wrong with the mower deck and the dried up grass and leaves that are always stuck on there caught fire. Yikes!! As I was gingerly trying to remove some of the fuel with a sharp stick, I discovered a broken spring and a missing belt. Yup, it's time for some repairs...
When I came in, I saw there was a message on the answering machine. It was the farrier calling to reschedule our appointment today! Oops! I would have been VERY surprised to see him today. ;-)
I decided to try riding down the big hill on my bicycle with the boys. That is WAY too fun!! The scary part though was when my 6 year-old went flying by me - MUCH too fast!! That kid is a daredevil.
