Happy Halloween!

This morning dawned frigid, with a heavy layer of frost outdoors and ice covering the water tubs and puddles. I dressed in a heavy turtleneck and fleece sweatshirt and went to school to help with the party in our younger son's classroom - and COOKED!! The room has these huge South-facing windows that soak up all the sunshine and heat the room. The temperature in that room was in the mid-80s. HOT!! It was a great party though, with way too much sugar - but the kids had a blast. We made tissue paper ghosts and marshmallow spiders with pretzel legs.

Dad and the boys are out visiting the neighbors. They got all dressed up in their costumes to go 'Trick or Treating'. Big brother is Nate the Great and little brother is a soldier. (Shocking, I know.) I thought Haley should go too, since she looks like 'Sludge', Nate the Great's doggie sidekick, but Dad didn't think it was appropriate for her to beg candy. Oh well. I made her get into the pictures anyway.

And then Aly decided to get into the pictures too...
