This week...

...has been busy! I'm still recuperating from my back injury, but I stepped it up a bit by really starting to exercise more. I started walking up and down our road on Monday. Whewie!! Boy, is that a hill!! I didn't make it to the top until Wednesday morning. But, I've done it every day since then, and it is really helping to strengthen by back. I can feel the difference. I'm still not able to sit for very long, but I'm getting there. I drove my Ion for the first time today and it still hurts to sit that low and push the clutch. Our search for a more comfy vehicle for me to drive has been tough, but we're really looking hard this weekend.

Tuesday, as you all know, was a very important day in history. It was also Cub Scout night, so Dad took the boys over to the polls during the meeting. They were able to see the ballot, go into the booth, and really experience how voting happens. They will never forget this election. The Scouts also invited a couple of deputies to the meeting to discuss law enforcement with them. The boys all got fingerprinted and enjoyed learning about the law. Of course, they also liked seeing men wearing weapons. They were fascinated and disappointed that they weren't allowed to touch.

I decided to get a head start on making baskets for Christmas presents for the teachers this week. And, while I was at it, I made a few more too! It's been a while since I did any weaving, and it was really fun!!

This afternoon I took the camera down to the bus stop with me, and stopped to check out the beaver pond. They've done a whole lot more work down there...

Daisy thinks it's GREAT!!

We got a lot of rain overnight. The boys just had to ride their bikes through the puddles....

And the horses just had to roll in the mud...
